Montible: A river runs through it.

May 18, 2010

“We may not have much money, but what we have is an abundance of nature” said the burly warden in a totally serene and content tone.

Wealth on a higher plane. We shared the same scruples.

This most amazing spot is less than an hour from the city. A very picturesque drive down the South highway of Puerto Princesa  is in store as many would agree with me. I actually feel like am in the movie Jurassic Park when passing through the lovely roads going down south of Palawan.

Chill drive to the river

Wide open spaces where trees grow till sky is the limit

More Greenery

By the end of the trip, we had actually visited three swimming areas in the same general vicinity. All of which were awesome. The best though was the last one. The personal space of the burly warden. He was so kind he even gave us a bunch of coconuts and a pile of cucumbers on the way home.

Finally, the river!

From the hip this time

The second area we checked out. Spot the floater on the loose.

The last destination in the journey

A trip like this will definitely not be complete with good food. Check out what chef extraordinaire whipped up!

Grilled fresh Tuna tail

A salad of sorts

All in a day’s work. Day trip mission. Accomplished. New spot. Found.
